Community & Economic Development

The Community and Economic Development Division is committed to making the Town of Mooresville and its neighborhoods better places to live, work, and play. Through the efforts of this Division, the Town strives to provide safe, decent, affordable housing, a suitable living environment and economic opportunities for all citizens of our community.

Further, we seek to support our business community through grants, loans, developmental programming, and marketing support. We are committed to supporting historic preservation with our economic development efforts to keep our business districts prosperous and vital.

Economic Development Incentive Loan Program

The Economic Development Incentive Loan provides businesses with financial assistance to support the retention and creation of jobs for Town residents. The Program is available to for-profit commercial, industrial or service businesses that expand or move within the Town of Mooresville Municipal Service District (MSD) or designated redevelopment areas. Downtown Incentives

The purpose of the Downtown Incentives is to stimulate development, encourage expansion and attract ongoing development, encourage flexible building usage and growth.  The incentives also provide businesses with financial assistance to support the retention and creation of jobs for Town residents.  Incentives are available to for-profit commercial, industrial or service businesses that expand or move within the Town of Mooresville Municipal Service District (MSD).  A description of these programs can be found here.
