Community & Economic Development

The Town of Mooresville seeks to support the business community through grants, loans, developmental programmings and marketing support. The Town also supports historic preservation along with economic development efforts to keep businesses prosperous and vital.

Group 1 - Regional Incentive Programs & Policies

The Town may provide various financial incentives for companies seeking to locate or expand a business into the corporate limits of the Town. This tier of the Town's economic development program is administered through the Mooresville-South Iredell Economic Development Corporation. A description of the programs can be found HERE.

Group 2 - Downtown & Local Incentives

The Economic Development Incentive Grant and Loan Program provides businesses with financial assistance to support the retention and creation of jobs for Town residents. The programs are available to for-profit commercial, industrial and service businesses that expand or move within the Town's municipal service district (MSD). The fund provides matching grants and/or unsecured and secured loans with competitive terms. A description of these programs can be found HERE.

Group 3 - Downtown Commission Grant Programs

In partnership with the Mooresville Downtown Commission, the Town offers a variety of grant programs that are replenished annually to assist business owners in the downtown service district. Grant funding is available on a first come, first served basis until all funds have been allocated. A description of each program and the grant application can be found HERE.
