When is a zoning approval required from the town?
A zoning approval is required when you add to a home, renovate, rebuild, or add accessory structures (shed, garage, pool, barn, outbuilding, etc.) to a property within the Town of Mooresville Zoning Jurisdiction. Also, a zoning approval is necessary if Iredell County requires a Building Permit for the work being done. Before you begin, contact the Iredell County Permit & Inspections Department at 704-878-3113 or 704-878-3118 to find out if they require a permit for the work being done.
