Driveway Applications Permits
Driveway Application Permits are not required for new residential driveways but are required for any commercial use or subdivision. To determine what type of permit is needed and the associated costs, refer to the 2009 Powell Map.
Driveway permits cost $100 if on a Town-maintained road. (Check payable to the Town of Mooresville.)
Driveway permits cost $150 if on a State-maintained road (Checks payable to the Town of Mooresville for $100 and payable to NCDOT for $50.)
Land Development Plan Reviews
Land Development Plan Reviews cost $125 per hour of review time.
Inspection Fees
Inspection fees apply to Land Development Projects only and cost $0.75 per linear foot for each water, sewer, storm and roadway. (Minimum fee is $50.)
On-site storm water detention facilities are $300 for each facility.
There is a $75 fee for each additional inspection necessary after an inspector-observed testing failed (proof roll, pressure test, density test, etc.).
