Fire Chief – Wesley H. Greene

Fire Chief Wesley H. Greene, CFO serves as the department director for the Mooresville Fire & Rescue (MFR), as well as the Emergency Management Director for the Town of Mooresville. Prior to his employment with the MFR, Chief Greene served with fire departments for the North Carolina communities of King, Winston-Salem, and Mount Airy.

Chief Greene holds degrees and certifications from Surry Community College, the UNC Institute of Government and the Office of the State Fire Marshal. In 2009, he was awarded the professional designation of “Chief Fire Officer” from the Commission on Professional Credentialing. Chief Greene is one of only 663 CFO’s worldwide.

Chief Greene holds membership in numerous job-related associations such as the North Carolina Association of Fire Chiefs, International Association of Fire Chiefs, Iredell County Firefighter’s Association and the North Carolina Fire & Rescue Commission Certification Board. He is also involved in community organizations such as the Mooresville Rotary Club and Ducks Unlimited.

Married with three children, Chief Greene enjoys duck hunting, hiking and exploring Fire Look-Out Towers in the Appalachian Mountains with Jake, his Yellow Lab.
