Community Groups Create Reading Garden at Library
The Town of Mooresville received a $25,000 grant from Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation to complete a reading gazebo on the property of the Mooresville Public Library.
National Night Out – August 3
Join the Mooresville Police Department on Tuesday, August 3 from 5:30 - 9 p.m. in Downtown Mooresville for the 27th Annual National Night Out event.

This summer, Special Collections of the Mooresville Public Library will be showing some of Alfred Hitchcock’s most famous (and original) thrilling suspense films during a summer series, ““Hitchcock with the Candlestick in the Library.”
It’s Pool Time!
The War Memorial Pool is open for the summer! Public Swim is offered daily from 1 - 5 p.m. for $3. Family Swim is offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 - 9 p.m. for $2. The pool is available for private rentals on the weekends. Call the Recreation Department at 704-663-7026 for more information.
Summer Camps
The Recreation Department offers specialty camps and weekly summer camps at the War Memorial Building and Winnie Hooper Center. Also, the department partners with area schools and individuals to offer sports camps at various facilities throughout Mooresville.
Mooresville Public Library Rated #2 in the State
According to the 2010 Hennen’s American Public Library Ratings (HAPLR) Index, the Mooresville Public Library is rated second in the state for its effectiveness in serving its community.
Boater Safety Class is Full
The Mooresville Police Department's free Boater Safety Class scheduled for Saturday, June 19 is full. Additional class dates will be added and posted on the Town's website and Facebook pages. For more information, call 704-658-9016.
